´Our ultimate goal is to offer several unique gaming products for each market´

(Kiev, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Last week (June 9 - 11), the "Gaming Industry" exhibition was held in Kiev, Ukraine, where important companies interested in the recent opening of the Ukranian games of chance market presented their products. This was the case with Onlyplay, so SoloAzar exclusively interviewed Artem Klymenko, the Company's Chief business development officer.

What products does the company present at the Gaming Industry Expo?
Due to the fact that the market in Ukraine has just opened, we were finally able to present our completely new look at games for the gambling industry. I’m talking about the Instant Win segment, the legislator of which is our company. Our gaming products aroused great interest and excitement among the exhibitors. Limbo Cat and Fighter, based on the Crash 2.0 mechanics, turned out to be one of the most trending. We were also highly commended by our team of artists and animators for Thimbles. By the way, I think you can recognize one of the characters — we made him specifically for the Latin American market.
How do you rate the current year and what are the company's plans and goals for the rest of 2021?
This year has been very busy and productive. Our team managed to bring to the market two top games based on the Crash 2.0 mechanics, as well as signed a record number of contracts with partner companies to provide our unique content - Instant Win Games. Regarding plans: the main goal, of course, is not to slow down. We plan to surprise the market with a number of hits with gamification elements and make a number of updates to existing products. The company is focused on introducing innovations into the gambling market, and I hope that we’ll surprise everyone more than once.
What are the main markets that your company focuses on?
To be honest, we have a rather ambitious team and our ultimate goal is to offer several unique gaming products for each market that will be popular on it. When our games enter a new market, we study what kind of gambling product is popular in it, what game mechanics are present in the ethnos of this region, and also pay attention to the art culture. After that, we usually offer a completely new product. One of the most interesting markets for us is the Latin American, which we have just begun to study and will be very glad for any feedback from your readers.
How do you generally assess the current situation in the gambling sphere?
Today, the gambling market, on the one hand, is moving towards local regulations. Every year, the number of countries offering local licenses and certifications is replenished, the purpose of which, in addition to replenishing internal budgets, is to protect the rights of the player.
In parallel, the market for crypto casinos began to develop very strongly, which today often goes beyond regulation. Nevertheless, this is still a process, and there are already a large number of applicants for licensing by regulators - projects using mainly cryptocurrency.
The COVID-19 situation has also greatly influenced the trends and the market in general, as many sport matches have been canceled. Bookmaker companies began an active search for gaming content that would close the demand among players - this, in turn, gave an impetus for gaming studios to rethink existing trends and redirect their attention to something completely new. Our company was 100% ready for this, as we initially formed a new niche of fast instant win games in the global gambling market.
What are the latest trends in the gambling sphere nowadays?
This question partly touches on the previous one. As I already said, in connection with global digitalization, the online market share is growing significantly: not only due to the transition of players from offline to online. But also due to the involvement of an increasing number of new players, for whom absolutely new formats, different from the classic ones, are offered.
For example, the boom in the cryptocurrency market gave rise to the development of crypto casinos and crypto games. Our company was also able to offer unique game mechanics to a new target audience and was one of the first to start processing all available types of cryptocurrencies.
Another trend is the gamification of in-game processes. It is no longer enough for the player to just win — he expects emotions from the storyline of the game, wants to manage and choose a strategy himself, accumulate in-game artifacts and change them. We have already accepted this challenge and are moving in this direction. Let me tell you a little secret: soon we will present a game with Conor McGregor, in which we try to give the players new bright and unforgettable emotions.
In your opinion, what are the prospects for Ukraine, taking into account the new legislation on the gambling business and the issuance of new licenses?
As you know, a fairly large number of licenses have already been issued in Ukraine, and this despite the fact that the cost of such licenses in the Ukrainian market is very high. This is due to the absence of a system for financial monitoring of the industry and the government's desire to replenish the budget at the first stage, realizing that it will be quite difficult to control the industry without technical tools.
There are many inconsistencies in the law, many contradictions and disputes. But, in the end, this is like the first steps of a baby, which cannot be scolded for falling — you need to help him get up and teach him to walk. Since the ban on gambling in 2008, the market has completely gone into the shadows. And coming out of the shadows this year is a wonderful event that is necessary for both the state and the players themselves, who will become more protected.
As for the prospects: I think a huge number of amendments to the law will be adopted. In an amicable way, it should be so: the world is changing rapidly, and therefore the state should change just as quickly in the legislative sphere. Our Ukrainian colleagues very often refer to the practice of friendly states. For example, the same Georgia, which has already passed part of the way, nevertheless, discussions on this matter between the state, business and society don’t subside to this day. It’s a continuous process of change and improvement. A process that has already started - and that's absolutely great!
